Bajan Pomeranians
Get to know us....
Hello agian....
Thank you for stopping by. I am Michelle Cavanaugh of Bajan Pomeranians. I live with my husband, Patrick, and the youngest two of our five children. We live in the small town of Millington, Michigan which is north of Detroit by about two hours. At our daughter's persistant nagging,
we got our first pom
for Christmas, 2002. I never dreamed I'd be one to own a toy breed. My impression was that they were yappy, little, ankle-biting rodents and certianly not what I wanted. They were not even REAL DOGS! I couldn't have been more wrong! Philepe stole our hearts. He completely changed our lives. Tragically, he died in an auto accident just before he turned two. I was devestated! After that, I was hooked. I wasted no time looking for another pom and this time I wanted to get into the show arena. It had been a long time desire of mine and now that my kids were "leaving the nest" there was room in my life for this new adventure.... and it has been an ADVENTURE!
All of our dogs
live in our house. They are not kenneled. They are my babies. I keep my numbers small so I can always give them the same care and love that I demand from the people who want to buy my puppies. Besides our Pomeranians, we also share our house with
our four cats
. Their numbers vary from time to time as we find ourselves rescuing kittens from the cold. Truth be told..... the cat's own the house and tolerate us and our dogs as long as we feed them tuna and keep their litter box clean. It's an arrangement that works.
FYI - The word Bajan comes from my birthplace and home of my heart, Barbados, West Indies. All of the tropical photos on this site are of this beautiful place. A "Bajan" is someone from Barbados.
